Takahashi Budokan is dedicated to the preservation and transmission of traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate, taught as it was intended—through discipline, structure, and respect for its historical lineage. Our martial arts training reflects the principles and methods passed down through generations, emphasizing both hard and soft techniques, proper body mechanics, and practical application.
We provide structured instruction at our Okinawan karate school for all ages and experience levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Students develop not only technical skill but also physical conditioning, mental focus, and personal discipline that extend beyond the dojo.
As a school rooted in authenticity, Takahashi Budokan maintains a direct connection to the traditions of Okinawan karate and the standards of the International Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Federation. Training is conducted in an environment that values respect, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Whether your goal is personal development, self-defense, or serious martial arts study, Takahashi Budokan offers a place to train with purpose and integrity.

Sensei Bryan Takahashi began his martial arts training at the age of five, embarking on nearly two decades of continuous practice. From the outset, his journey has been profoundly influenced by the mentorship of Shihan Eric Shingu — a relationship that remains the cornerstone of his development to this day.
Rooted in the traditions of Okinawan Goju-Ryu, Sensei Bryan built his foundation through a disciplined study of Goju-Kai before deepening his commitment to the authentic lineage and philosophy of traditional karate. His training led him to the International Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Federation, an organization dedicated to preserving the art’s integrity and teachings.
Beyond the dojo, Sensei Bryan tested his skills on the tournament circuit, gaining competitive experience under the additional guidance of Gene Tibon — a chapter that sharpened his focus and broadened his perspective as a martial artist.
Continuing his martial arts journey, he earned his black belt under Shihan Eric Shingu and maintains that lifelong pursuit today — training with the same discipline, humility, and respect for the art that has always defined his practice.
Now, Sensei Bryan brings that experience, passion, and tradition to the next generation at his Okinawan karate school. Whether you’re a curious kid stepping onto the mat for the first time, a teenager building confidence and discipline, or an adult seeking something meaningful — his mission is simple: to pass on the values, skills, and spirit of Okinawan Goju-Ryu to every student who walks through the door.
Classes are available for kids, teens, and adults.
